“GALATA TOWER” was oil painted on a 40cm X 50cm pressed canvas in 2008…
The idea came out from a tower entrance ticket left behind after a devastating love relation…I just had a big desire for immortalizing my memories of those days by simply placing the ticket itself on the pressed canvas, and started painting around the ticket…
When you have a closer look into the painting, you can easily see the statement written on the ticket for the tower. It says “A night that can never be forgotten…”
Galata Tower was built in 1348 by Genoese poeple…It is located on one of the several hills in İstanbul which sees the Bosphorus sea, as well as almost all over İstanbul…
“Inca’s Treasure Map” was oil painted on a 30cm X 40cm pressed canvas…The whole pressed canvas was painted with several different colors in several different layers over and over…Then the final view was obtained by scratching the layers one by one, until I reached the deep of the ground where the “Inca’s Treasure” was burried…
